After several months of unuse I now find that the OE6 on this old Dell laptop with W98SE is not working right. It shows no messages at all in the Incoming and the Deleted boxes but does show messages in the Sent box.

I can <send> a new message fine; but I do not <receive> any new messages.

I would certainly appreciate suggestions on how to diagnose and fix. Thanks much.

have you checked all of the mail settings in OE? if you haven't used it in a while, your mail provider may have changed their incoming server information. what email is it (not the address but the provider)? hotmail? or your ISP mail?

Thanks for your help.

FWIW, my malfunctioning OE6 is tied to Comcast cable as my ISP. I have other pcs using the same OE6 program and the Comcast cable connection and they all are working ok
