Just before the hard drive failed on my XP machine I burned a cd with Nero with all my bookmarks from Firefox and my downloaded programs. When I go into Explorer on my new Windows 7 machine and click on my dvd drive to see the files, the green progress bar at the top goes almost all the way to the right and then stops. This stinks that I can't read whats on the disk! I need those bookmarks. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello bruceb3, What you describe appears to be a defective DVD disk.

If this is the case, you have no option, other than try to use Nero on your computer to check the DVD disk. Some versions of Nero have this capability.

It is possible that the hard drive had errors on it befre it died, that could have corrupted the DVD disk.

Sorry I could be of no help.
