Hi all.

I got the virus on December 8, 2009.

Since then I have been trying to remove it. The virus also came with Anti-Virus Live.

I was able to remove anti-Virus live with Mal-Ware bytes.

The google redirect virus is still around.

a small history of what I have use to try to remove it

Norton Anti Virus (Is it just me or is this program worthless?)

Ad-Aware

Xdelbox

Gooredfix

Mal-Ware bytes

Pareto Antivirus

all of which have been scanned in safe mode and what ever you called regular mode.

They all can detect the virus. They just don't remove it.

Norton and some others have detected it in a folder or some area of my computer called C:/ System32 .... can't remember the rest of it.

here is a few sites which I have visited regarding the recommended programs used above

http://www.xdelbox.c...redirect-virus/

http://www.troublefi...ol-for-windows/

http://cantalktech.c...redirect-virus/

I have been doing a search on this newly discovered forum.

Some of you (maybe all) request a "log" I can't remember how to do that. It has been ages since my last virus about 3 or 4 years.

Can someone help me out?

please?

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Hello,

I made a thread yesterday asking me to read this

http://www.geekstogo...uide-t2852.html

I tried the self help route with this following link

http://www.geekstogo...ct-t235576.html

I have tried GooRedFix before. It does not work. When I run it, all I get is this text (copied and pasted in the quotes)I am not sure what to do with it.

Hello Johnny724,

Please do not make multiple topics for your problem. That will slow down your help.

Please follow the steps discribed here and post the logs. After you have done that, I will analyse them and help you removing your virus.
