Hi there, I have searched and found many people with some of my issues. My sons PC prompted the windows xp service pack 3, this used to be mine and is only a couple years old. I had sp3 on it before but when I gave it to him I did a factory restore so he would have a clean slate. After the installation it said to restart and he did. Now we have nothing! It gets past the win xp logo and goes to black screen with my cursor. I have tried all safe modes, last known configuration and nothing. I also tried my application and support disk to try to recover or even restore and it said RECOVERY FOLDER NOT FOUND. RECOVERY FAILED! I can't even wipe it and start fresh! Any ideas? I would rather not wipe it as he has alot of files he needs since he is learning coding and building his own site. He is very upset with me right now since Mom has always been able to fix it!
