Connecting PS2 to Windows Media Center

I linked up my PS2 to my PC through a Red/White/Yellow composite input and tried to get Media Center to recognize it as a cable box, but the get the "IR Hardware not found" error. How do I bypass this? Is there a virtual IR blaster for XP or do I need some other software to play?
