I've been having a lot of virus related issues that are as of yet unresolved, so that might be influencing this, I'm not sure. The one I'm trying to figure out right now is how to get my Themes to work. I went to management > services > Themes, startup type is set to automatic and service status is stopped. When I tell it to start, it says

"Could not start the Themes service on Local Computer.
Error 1083: The executable program that this service is configured to run in does not implement the service."

My computer no longer has the XP theme as an option under the properties > theme tab, and has reset itself back to windows classic. I do have the Luna theme installed however. I've tried patching my registry with the following 2 regedits from Kelly's corner:

I also tried using Kelly's taskbar fixer tool, and it came up with the following:

Check that Terminal Services is enabled and started and set to automatic in the services dialogue, also under the Log on tab of this service make sure it's enabled for the default profile (that is, the enable button should be greyed out meaning it's already enabled)

I set Terminal services to automatic, and it was previously enabled and greyed out like you said. I went back to start theme service and the 1083 error popped up again.
