It isn't possible to get a gaming system for under 700 bucks. You can make a pretty high performance PC but to have a true gaming rig you are talking over $1000.

Well, yes, then you could build a system for about $700.

Shop around newegg.com and try to put together a collection of parts. Then I will take a look at what you've put together.

You will need a:

CPU, you are probably looking at a dual core.

Motherboard, pick one based on the CPU you are getting.

RAM, you should be getting about 2gb. Make sure it is the kind the MOBO is compatible with.

Graphics Card, http://www.newegg.co...0-335-_-Product

PSU, http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817341016

Case, Antec 300 is probably a good one.

OS, get Windows 7.

Monitor, you pick it. Just show me the one.

You will then need a keyboard and a mouse if you don't already have them.

Could you please fix your links? All of the product links seem to be broken.

It looks like you are on the right track though. :)

Also, for your hardrive go western digital black or blue. Seagate isn't the best.

Really? I feel like you can get a gaming pc for 700bucks, I have a similar setup and I can run any game on high that I have played. What specs would you consider to be a "gaming rig"

mobo $100
PSU $100
E8400 $170
Video Card 9800gt $120
Ram 4gig $50
Case $50
HDD $50-100
Disk drive $50-100

~690 not including tax/shipping...excludes monitor
