A lot of computers in recent years have a fast switch at boot. Toshiba for example you press F12 while booting to choose between hard drives.
Did Ubuntu not install Grub? that may help as well but not sure how to go about it after it's installed.

Usually it's in the boot up screen, maybe at the bottom.
What bios software does it have, or what motherboard is it?

I am using a asus p5q-em motherboard.

Try as I might, I can not find anything on it must be a new motherboard. You can try a few options when booting, such as F8 F12 F10 DEL, one of them may have a boot menu but I can't say for sure.
