Zalman zm mfc3 fan controller
The cooler has a 4 pin wpm female motherboard connection. The fan controller allows you to route your cooler fan thro' the controller. To this end they provide a lead with the following. A connection to connect to your cooler lead - connection to the the controller - connection back to motherboard 4 pin connector. The connections for the fan controller and m/board are fine. The problem is: the cpu cooler lead has a 4 pin female, the lead provided for the fan controller has a 3 pin male. Therefore cannot connect cpu cooler and fan controller together. Have mailed zalman twice but have recvd no reply from them.
Is there any remedy, advised to just break off the side of the 3 pin and connect, but further advice said you may run into voltage problems. Nobody provides a 4 to 3 pin connection lead.
Is there any fan controller that I can use to connect this cpu cooler.
