I have a Windows XP operating system, and also have another post involving worm.win32.netsky removal difficulties.

I have been working on all I personally can do because I'm not having any luck with help yet, and after a restart on my system last night, I seem to be in even more trouble!

I logged into my username with my password, and all I get is my desktop background. And then.. nothing. No start menu, no icons, no green screen that was there before from the virus.

I don't know if I should have, but I did anyways, let it sit all night, hoping something would come up.

I have tried to boot up in all 3 safe modes, and they will not start that way. Last known configurations and Normal gets me to the same blank desktop screen.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

No, it isn't. I'm not having any luck with any help yet.
There hasn't been any replies, sadly.

It's been 3 days since you posted there, so you can start new topic in "Waiting room", which will put you to the top of the list.

Thank you for that, I will do that.

Should I combine my two posts together?

I can't log in to my computer system to do anything if I do get a reply about my removal difficulties, hence my topic in this forum.

I'm sorry, I just didn't (still don't, actually) see it under My Topics or in the forum.

I had three posts floating around, one for each problem, and one a combined post in the waiting room.

Thanks for responding though! Any help is appreciated.

For the waiting room link..
"Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken."

Any reason why it would be working for you and not for me? I'm using another uninfected computer, and everything else seems to be working okay.
