Hi all,

First of all, thank you for your amazing forum. :)

My husband's desktop at work can't connect to the internet with Firefox or Explorer, but his connection is otherwise fine: he does get all his emails through outlook.

The morning this happened (yesterday), he had installed NoScript, which worked for a while but then the internet stopped. He uninstalled it but still no internet.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps his company's Admin has disabled internet browsing? Does his company have an IT department he can talk to?

I'm so sorry, i just realized I put this in the wrong forum. Should I delete my posts and repost in Web Browsers?

Ah, well that's a different story. :)

Can you give us a little more information about his connection? Is the PC wired or wireless? Is it directly attached to the ISP's modem, or is it going through a router?

Although the email works, I would like to see the connection details, just to be sure. Go to Start -> Run and type command and press enter.

Once the command prompt loads type the following command

ipconfig /all >C:\ipconfig.txt

Notice the space between the "g" in config and the / There is also a space between the "l" in all and the >

Once you get back to the prompt, type exit and press enter to close the window. Now navigate to My Computer -> Local Disk C and you should see a file called ipconfig.txt. You can either copy the contents here, or attach the text file.

Thanks so much for your help. :)

It's a wired PC with a connection that goes through a router.

My husband was able to email me the file:

Thank to your query, my husband disconnected the router and just hooked his computer straight to the internet cable. Internet is working fine now.

Thanks for your help. If there's anything else we need to know about it, we'd love your input!
