One of my friends has a 8800 Nvidia Geforce graphics card I think and when he tries to change the resolution on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 the program closes and then a window pops up and says directx has encountered an unrecoverable problem. Hes on Windows XP but I don't know what SP.

Hi,

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type dxdiag in the Open box
4. Click OK
5. Click Save All Information
6. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt)
6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find.
7. Close DxDiag
8. Start a new GeeksToGo reply and under the writing pane click Choose file
9. Browse for the DxDiag.txt file and click Open
10. Then click the green upload button.

Any problems let me know.

to update direct x, run the DirectX End-User Runtime
http://www.microsoft...6a-9b6652cd92a3

Save the file to your desktop and the run file. It will download what ever files/updates is needed for directX

kalymnios101, Welcome to GeeksToGo. I see that you responded to a really old post with dxdiag. What issue are you having? If your having a direct x error, updating direct x via the link above is still the recommended fix.
