I am wondering if anyone can tell what a good, reliable motherboard is for a P4 chip that has an AGP slot. I am looking for something under $80 preferably.

Hi DanOlsen, Welcome to the Geeks to Go forums

Do you have any idea on a specific chipset for the board?
If your staying under 80.00 then alot of the latest technology like PCI Express is going to be out of the question - If your wanting a good solid P4 board look into the Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro - G ... it uses the Intel 865PE/ICH5 chipset and supports Dual DDR 400, Sata, AGP 8X, 8 USB 2.0, and a Front Side Bus of 800 mhz/ but will support 533mhz.

I have used this board 3 times and it is extremely speedy & stable ... it also comes with alot of extra's ... but of course it's only one choice out of many.

I recommend ASUS. You get quality, superiority, and performance. But if you must spend less than 80 go to tigerdirect.com
