I dont have the disk, the tech guy has it.

Not a problem. as it does not have to be the exact disk he used. Any disk of the same type will work. The system is not dependent on the exact media to be used but only the version. The reg key is yours and yours alone so that is proprietary and cannot be changed without purchasing a new key.
