Hi,

I have an Acer TravelMate 7720 laptop and am running Windows 7 x64.

The internal microphone on the laptop doesnt seem to be picking up, when I go into the Sound options via the control panel there are 2 microphones listed.

1. Microphone, High Definition Audio Device, Currently Unavailable
2. Microphone, High Definition Audio Device, Default Device.

When I go into the properties of #1 it says the Jack is the ATAPI Internal Jack. #2 states it's the front panel 3.5 mm jack.

I have tried changing the default but nothing works due the device being unavailable. #2 doesnt work as nothing is plugged into the jack.

confusing :/

Hey mate and welcome,

Have you tried downloading and installing the latest audio drivers for your machine?
