Oh yea.

Two computers got infected right after each other.

The other one I had a hard time with and posted about it in the malware thread. But somehow I managed to get rid of most of the bad stuff (or enough of it where it runs like it did before) with avast and malwarebytes.

Meanwhile, this computer seemed fine, but I guess I went about it too haphazardly. I'll update that other thread and make a new thread for this computer.

Yes that seems like a logical direction. This way you can make sure it is healthy and we are not fighting a infection during all this. Please keep me informed and I will watch this topic for your return.
