I was working on my coursework yesterday. I saved all of my research findings and planning in a folder in my USB. later on, when i plugged the labtop back in, i went to the folder but when i clicked on the folder, all the stuff ive been working on wasn't there!! instead, there are lots of funny files and folders written in weird symbols.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Ive run virus scans and everything but it says my pc is not infected...

(my screenhunter is expired so if anyone finds it difficult to see, let me know then i'll take a different shot)

Retake the screenshot using these instructions and attach it to your next post. Your link does not work.

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop

Hi,

thanks for replying. By the way, i think my USB is infected by virus or somesort. I saved a folder in the USB recently but when i got back to it, it showed those weird symbols files again.
