Hello JRDuncan.... Welcome to GeeksToGo,,

Very general description.
Is the monitor turned on?
Is the light on the front of it yellow or green?
Is there any message like No Signal on the screen?
Have you tried a different monitor?
Have you tried a different plug in?
Is the monitor connected to the pc correctly?
Is this a laptop or desktop?
Are the lights on the system coming on? do you hear any post beep when system is turned on?
Is the PSU turning on in the back if this is a desktop?
Is this a name brand system and if so what is the make and model?

Hello Jill;
Try downloading the lataest drvers to a pen drive and installing the in safe mode first.
Write me back and let me know how it goes.

If you don't have a log in oon your computer, you can try leaving it on thruoghout the night so that Windows automatically downloads the updatesto the computer, then install them using safe mode.
