freeze, beep

About two days ago my computer started freezing during games and using the internet. It will eventually start to beep and must be shut off with the button. It beeps until I shut it off

Sounds like a overheating issue.
Laptop or desktop?
when was the last time you cleaned it out with a can of compressed air?
