I created a PC-DOS boot disk (using Ghost 2003) to map a share on my network. Everything execute fine, but I get the error "the syntax is incorrect". I've checked Norton website and edited the autoexec.bat file by doing the following below with no luck. Any help please.

How to add the quotes

Edit the Autoexec.bat on the boot disk.
Locate the following in the Autoexec.bat file:

A:\NET\NET USE Z:\\server name\share name

Add quotes to the beginning and end of the server name, such as,

A:\NET\NET USE Z:"\\server name\share name"

you did use the correct server name and sharename and not the generic, right?

Could be the generic NIC driver with Ghost won't work with your NIC
