I don't know if this is a disk drive problem, a software problem, or a motherboard problem. I back up my system using Norton Ghost to Copy Disk internal hard drive C: to external drives G: & H: periodically. I then store H: offsite, and use Norton Ghost to run a daily backup to G: until the next full backup.

Recently the system has started crashing whenever Ghost runs. It locks up so bad the power button won't even work. I have to hit the reset button or turn off the power strip. I reinstalled ghost, and I've run Malwarebytes, Norton AntiVirus, DiskDoctor, WinDoctor, & Windows CheckDisk, and I can't fix the problem.

But I was able to Copy Disk H: to G: with no problem.

Help, I'm stumped!
