trying to fix my sons laptop and followed the steps in the malware guide. i can post all of the results of the scans but it looks to my inexperienced eye that everything is ok. originally it was pretty messed up, popups everywhere and virus scan picked up nothing. so i did a system restore back to xmas eve and everything seems fine. but if there is a virus won't it come back? i can post all of the logs that i ran if you want. any help would be wonderful, someone helped me before with my desktop and it was greatly appreciated

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
