Ok,
Home Pc Vista, hooked to printer via usb cable.
Wireless Router

Laptop running xp, files on home pc are shared and i can see them on the xp laptop!
However
I cannot find the printer, it has been set to share on the vista pc.....

The vista pc with printer is on and the printer is on.

Im missing some little step here...i do this all the time when both pc's are xp....
