I just installed the SP3 update for XP; after re-starting, I get a prompt that appears to be in DOS, titled: c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

The cursor is flashing in the black window as if it wants me to enter something.....but I don't know what.

Just before installing the update I got a message that the sys32 driver was corrupt. I work for a dot com company, so one of our techs repaired - or so I presumed - the driver so windows would boot again. He told me I needed to install the XP SP3 update, which he had already downloaded onto my desktop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
