I am getting a Windows Setup Bootstrapper Error. I thought this might be because I renamed the original file after downloading it, but I've since deleted that file along with going to start/run/prefetch and deleting all of those files. I downloaded a new file to my desktop and still the same issue.

Microsoft Bootstrapper has encountered a problem and needs to close.

error signature

AppName setup.exe
AppVer: 14.0.4514.1004
ModName: osetup.dll
ModVer: 14.0.4514.1004
Offset: 002f1b41

Code: 0xc0000417

Let me know if there is any other information you need.
Any help would be appreciated.

Greetings gdrunner,

Just a couple of thoughts/comments and if you have already thought of them, I aplogize for bringing them up.

1. Are you downloading the beta via the Click to Run (Home/Business edition) feature or the full installer (Pro)?

I only ask since I had problems with the Click to Run download option and ended up just downloading the Office 2010 Pro beta instead.

The download failed once, so I had to download the Pro installer a second time and then the install was successfull.

Sorry I cannot assist with the bootstrapper issue specifics though...

Sincerely,

DM
