OK so if I have my computer on for more than a couple hours everything pretty much starts to slow down then freeze. Task manager shows system is the only thing active. Ive ran spybot, adaware, avg, and disk defrag. Other than a couple tracking cookies they were all clean.

Another thing is when i start my computer it takes a long time to load after the welcome screen, explorer doesnt start for a few mins.

Thanks for any help.

Try checking the disk for errors.

Right-click the C drive in My Computer, and choose 'Properties'
Click the 'Tools' tab.
Click "Check now"
Tick both options and click 'Start'
Answer "Yes"
Restart Windows

When that's finsished, run the Defragmenter on the C drive:

Disable antivirus real-time temporarily.
Then go Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->Disk Defragmenter
