Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! I have a customer that owns a store that is a chain. He would like his website to be exactly the way another stores site is. Its not an e-commerce site, information only. Is it possible to just copy the code of the other store and change the information to reflect his? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

that would probably violate some kind of copyright... you should contact the owner of the other store in the chain and find out if you could be allowed to copy the file...since it's a chain they might even just give you the source code as is so that you can modify it to fit the other location

The other store has already said it would be ok. The problem is the person who designed their site to begin with is no where to be found. I was trying to find a way around starting from scratch to exactly match their site. Thank you so much!

well...they've obviously got the page hosted somewhere...and someone at their store should have access to that hosted info...you should be able to get to the source files from there

in theory if they've given you permission you COULD just copy the source as it's viewable from the webpage...but it would be cleaner to actually get the files
