To my favorite techies,

This is a Dell Inspiron 9400 with Intel T2250 @1.73 GHz and 0.99GB RAM that belongs to my wife. It's running Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 3.

She's been complaining for the longest time that there's a delay between the keystroke and when the type appears onscreen. It's extremely aggravating when trying to type.

I don't know if there's a tweak that I can use to improve things to where there's no lag at all or if it's a hardware issue. It seems to be intermittent, also, not constant.

Tell me where to start and I'll gladly get back to you.

Many thanks in advance

Does it happen in any program, or on internet only?
