I'm new at this, but getting spy/malware gets me so fired up ;)

I kept rerunning adaware (with 11 - 9 continuing malware results repeatedly) and spybot & cws found nothing, spywareblaster didn't stop it, with zone labs zone alarm not seeing anything (but the pop up was blank :) ). After reading and hopping around trying to figure out how nothing seemed to work, I found ngpw36 and kept deleting it in win task manager, but it kept coming back... to make a long story short (began last night).

Apparently for me, the ngpw36.exe is served by adprot.exe, so I searched and found both (after editing my register to get rid of both in current user and machine), then ended the processes on both and then deleted them (to the recycle bin :) ) reran adaware, deleting all 9 malware finds (go to tools in adaware and make sure you're deleting not just quarantining) and rebooted :tazz: .

No comebacks, after 2 reboots ;) . Hope this helps someone. No log; don't have hijack this, just running adaware, spybot, cwshredder, spyware blaster and zone alarm.
