After moving my comp to a new school, i was pretty pissed when i threw my heatsink on, connected all the cords, and plugged in my crappy old dell keyboard (having trouble with my wireless Ligitech one) to find that when the comp booted it shows the startup screen, registers my P4 (overclocked) and my ram and everything, but says i have a problem and have to go into the power options; press F9. but for some reason, my keyboard wont work, ive tried several others, including USB, and nothing comes up. no lights on the keyboard or anything. im pretty convinced that my mobo is screwed. btw, i built my comp, Asus board and everything, never really had any significant problems, but this sucks!

any insight??

could be a keyboard port but i doubt it- i had a problem like this on one of my computers i was building, in your bios look around for something with a keyboard or mouse option (yes it sounds strange) but it may work, something may be enabled or disenabled for that matter that controls your port- when did it stop working, after you moved?

yeah after i moved it. when i plug the old dell keyboard i have in, it beeps really fast. but even a USB keyboard wont work...how did you fix your problem?

What do you mean it beeps really fast please be more clear as to the beep code

Try reseating the ram and video card, if this fails clear the cmos and if it boots go into bios and load the bios defaults.
