i have a gateway m210. computer wont boot, just shows bios screen options over and over. laptop went black while in email. i want to restore to factory settings. i have my original gateway recovery cd. when i go to f11, then it says incomplete insert disk 1, i do. it then opens my discdrive and says insert disc 1, over and over. i dont care about my files, just want my laptop to work again. any help is great

If you have recovery CD, boot from it.

What do you mean?
You put CD in and you restart computer.
Do you see a message:
Press any key to boot from CD

If you don't see this:

Press any key to boot from CD

it means, you have to access BIOS and change boot order, so CD drive is listed first.

You've been doing fine :)
Did the CD drive work before?
Did you check CD for scratches?
You sure, it's the right CD?

At this point, I'm not sure, what else to tell you.
We can't run any diagnostics, since it won't boot from the CD.
If you have more than one RAM stick, you can try to start the laptop with 1 stick at a time.
