I can't transfer music to my Samsung Star from Windows Media Player 'sync' via USB cable, or by transferring directly to the memory card. When I installed the PC suite software CD that came with the phone, I got a message saying cocreate instance failed.

Does anyone have any suggestions how else I can transfer music to it from my PC? Or offer advice as to what I've done wrong???

No it's not an Ipod and no, I don't have iTunes.

Hi Nell68crab

You can sync your samsung with media player by changing the connection setting on the phone.

Goto the Menu Screen, select Settings → Phone settings → PC connections → Media player → Save.

Now connect to your PC via USB cable, it will then load the drivers.

When connected, open Windows Media Player, Enter your phone’s name in the pop-up window.

Then click the sync button.

You should now be able to transfer music files to your phone without using Samsung PC Suite.

Hope this helps.
