Running Vist Home Premium and FireFox 3.5, cannot access parts of a web page. Thought it was Java, so uninstalled and reinstalled but that did nothing.

Googled the error (from Error Console) and it gave me the following:
if (!cDMXPopupWindow) {
alert('The Advanced Layer Popup script is missing on your website!\nPlease upload the file ScriptLibrary/advLayerPopup.js to your live server.');
}

Could anyone explain this and provide a solution (not techie, so imagine you're talking to a not-very-bright 10 year old).

Appreciate any help.

is this happening when you're accessing a website YOU'VE made? or when you're accessing someone else's website? that error suggests that it's on the website's (webserver's) end not yours

It's a doctors surgery that I've accessed quite happily in the past; but which stopped working a couple of months ago. I can access the main page but any attempt to go to 'Appointments' or 'Prescriptions' brings up the error.

I contacted the surgery but they said they'd had no other complaints and showed me it working on their computer.

that's definitely a website side error and not a local machine error...you having/not having java (or the correct java) wouldn't be telling you that the website is missing a file

do you have a link to the page?
