hi,

i am currently running on a dell xps, on windows xp.

i was infected with "malware defense" a tdss and a spyaxe.
i was told to download "spyware doctor" in order to remove all these infections however i couldnt log on to my computer without it freezing unless its in safemode.

so 40$ later i ran spyware doctor to get rid of all the infections.
now i can log on to my comp in normal mode and there is no pop up or false alerts like there use to be.
how ever my computer is incredibly slow and crashes after 4-5 minutes.

any solutions?

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Add a link to this topic so that malware tech can see what steps have been taken here

Now I am suggesting this because the spyware doctor may have gotten rid of some of your infection but there may be deeper issues yet.
I would feel better before we do anything here if you had a trained malware tech check your system out and make sure it is clean and healthy.
