Is there a way to prevent the highlighted selection of the most recent message in Outlook Express 6? Whenever I go to check my e-mail, I'm afraid that some possibly-virus-containing e-mail will be opened since the last e-mail is automatically highlighted.

Thanks in advance.

Yet another reason why I ditched OE so long ago...

By the way, why is this in the Office section. Only the full version of Outlook is in office. :tazz:

Oops, sorry! ;) Wasn't sure where I should post this and saw some other questions about Outlook Express here, so that's where the query went. Thanks for the reply.

Howdy:

Start OE and go to View>Layout..

Uncheck the "Preview Pane".. Apply and okay out..

You will now have to click or double click the message to view it..

I will give it a try as soon as possible!

Thank you, Murray S., that is exactly the solution I was hoping for!
