Quick Launch Icons scrambled

Hi wondering if anyone can shed some light...
I have a wierd thing when the PC starts up - the quick launch icons are wrong. It replaces the firefox/thunderbird/folder etc shortcut icons with random (& sometimes recently used) icons. I have a few quick launch icons and when I click on the more arrow the correct icons come back. :)
Running XP Pro SP2 with no known problems (although runs quite slow these days).

Oh just found this quick launch icons but it's for Windows 2003.
