This started a week ago and I can't figure out why? Updated windows and then this it happens every few hours. I uninstalled my video drivers thinking it wasa driver issue but am lost now. Help!

It looks to me like RAM issue.

A. If you have more than one RAM module installed, try starting computer with one RAM stick at a time.

NOTE Keep in mind, the manual check listed above is always superior to the software check, listed below. DO NOT proceed with memtest, if you can go with option A

B. If you have only one RAM stick installed...
...run memtest...

1. Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)
2. Unzip downloaded memtest86+-2.11.iso.zip file.
3. Inside, you'll find memtest86+-2.11.iso file.
4. Download, and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/
5. Insert blank CD into your CD drive.
6. Open ImgBurn, and click on Write image file to disc
7. Click on Browse for a file... icon:



8. Locate memtest86+-2.11.iso file, and click Open button.
9. Click on ImgBurn green arrow to start burning bootable memtest86 CD:



10. Once the CD is created, boot from it, and memtest will automatically start to run.

The running program will look something like this depending on the size and number of ram modules installed:




It's recommended to run 5-6 passes. Each pass contains very same 8 tests.

This will show the progress of the test. It can take a while. Be patient, or leave it running overnight.

The most important item here is the “errors” line. If you see ANY errors, even one, most likely, you have bad RAM.

No, I didn't. Should I pull all the RAM except one and then rerun the memtest? If so should I then keep pulling the "Good" module and then put in the next and do this over and over until I can ind a failure? Just wondering the procedure.

Memtest is only secondary type of test. Only, if you have 1 stick installed.
Remove all sticks, but one and run computer for a day, or so on one stick.
Did OK?
If so, remove that one and put next one in.....and so on.

I was running it for about two hours and it just crashed again. This time it came up with run a driver verifier in the blue screen. I don't know what this is? How do i check if a new driver was added when etc and what one would be the offending one. Also thanks for all the help so far your great. Also I have 9gb of Ram

I have three modules of 3 gb each all same manufacturer (patriot.
I haven't pulled them yet. I ran the vista driver verifier program and now my internet connection won't load on the computer. I don't know if the driver verifier is running all the time or not. Yes I have Norton.

Test the computer on 2nd RAM stick. See, if it'll give you any BSODs.

I had 9gb of Ram. Three 2 GB sticks and Three 1 GB sticks . I pulled all three 1 GB sticks and have run the test on the 2 GB - Total 6 GB it ran withour any problems. Then I booted up again and it was running better less sluggish now I'm running Disk Defra. and waiting to see if I get a crash again. I no crash I will let run for a few days and then try the three 1 GB sticks. Then run the test and keep it if if no failure. Thanks for the advice and I will up date more when I find out more.
