Hi,

I am having problems with my Dell C521 Dimension desktop. I had a viral infection earlier today with the internet security 2010 smss32.exe bug. I ran both super antispyware and maleware bytes and it found the problems. After fixing the problems, it stated that I needed to reboot the system. Once I did that, Windows loads to my desktop background and plays the logging in chime, them plays the logging off chime and sends me to the blue screen showing my computer active. When I click on my computer it shows logging on, then immediately logging off. I have tried to open windows in safe mode, when I hit F8, it goes to the selection screen for safe mode, but I am unable to move the cursor. Is there anything that I can do? or do I need to shell out the bucks to have it looked at?

Thanks for any help!

If you have PS/2 port on your computer, try PS/2 keyboard.

I don't have that on the back of my PC. All of those are audio connectors, not for ps2
