micro works says carnt open file

I have documents on my comp in works 9 which open and i can read them but when i upload them on to my web site i get a box saying works carnt open this doc ? it is realy annoying as i carnt build my business web site untill i figure out what is wrong PLEASE HELP ANYONE IM GETTING DESPERATE NOW .
