:)
So, I get this great game for Christmas. I love it on the 360, but cannot see to get to run on my laptop.
Once I choose "New Game" it stops for one second and then crashes to desktop. I'm running Windows 7, and am wondering if that is the problem.
I put on the 1.7 patch,
updated Windows Live,
disabled Windows Firewall,
turned off as much anti-virus as I could.

The crash shows APPCRASH
Exception code: c0000005
OS ver 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID 1033
Additional information 1: 0a9e
Additional information 2: 0a9e372db4ad19135b
Additional information 3: (same as #1)
Additional information 4: (same as #2)

Anyone have ideas?

Hi,

Hopefully we can get some more information out of this:

Please download VEW and save it to your Desktop:

Setting up the program
Right-click VEW.exe and select Run as Administrator then under Select log to query, select:
  • Application
  • System
Under Select type to list, select:
  • Critical (Vista only)
  • Error
  • Click the radio button for Number of events
  • Type 20 in the 1 to 20 box
  • Then click the Run button.
  • Notepad will open with the output log.
Load the log
  • Save the log to your desktop
  • On your reply click Choose File
  • Click the upload button

Also, you may need to run this game as administrator. Right click the game and select "run as administrator". I play this game on windows 7 through steam and never had any difficulties.
