Hi there

My first time posting on these boards so hope I'm in the right place!

Fssm32.exe opens (as part of Talk Talk which is my ISP) when I start up my laptop and takes up almost all CPU usage for about 25 minutes, unable to access anything on the desktop, internet etc for all of that time. Once loaded it's better but the performance of the PC is still slow and from what I can make out it's due to this process. I've done a scan with Hijack This and got the following log. Can anyone tell me if there's anything dodgy in here?

(Also Wanadoo is no longer my ISP)

Thanks very much in advance for any help!

Gill

The symptom you describe sounds like F-Secure is running a scan at boot. This is usually something you can tell it not to do. I don't have F-secure and their website is not very helpful but there should be an icon for the product near the clock. You will need to doubleclick on it and poke around to see if you can tell it not to do a scan at boot.

If you want us to look at your system you will need to provide the logs asked for in the top post.

We don't use HJT any more.
