My system win 2000 pro...
After sitting idle for a day or two or just over night goes to a while screen, If I move my mouse to activate desktop I noticed my sys tray has moved from the bottom right to the top left my start button is missing. if I try to do anything it goes back to white screen.
I can get.... control Alt Delete usely one time to do a reboot if I do not use it right away it will go back to a white screen and I will not be able to get that back again, I will have to do a hard power down.
I have disconnect the mouse and the key board still happens.
My virus checker does not find any issues and I have run malware software with no major issues. I have also done a Disc defrag and it still happens.
I have run TFC with no issues than normal.
I have run Speed Fan and the only issue is Power On Hours count of 31.

When in Safe Mode it does not happen.

Can anyone help with this, Please

Thank you

Hi mrcambridge ... :) ..:)

I'm not sure this tool will work on 2000...but lets give it a spin

go here and download System Investigator by Olrik (SINO.exe)

Save SINO to a place you can remember and run SINO.exe. (If you downloaded the ZIP version you will need to extract it first)
put ticks in the following checkboxes:
System Info
Services
Boot Check
Tasklist
Startup Items
Event Log
Ipconfig
Ping
Netstat
Hosts file

Routing Table[/code]
Once checked, hit the Run Scan! button and wait for the program to finish the scan.

A notepad window will pop up. Please copy all of the content into your next reply
Note: If you try to interact with the program once it’s started scanning it might appear to hang. The scan however will continue.
