Hi everyone,

I am new here and everyone here seems great! I followed the malware removal guide by the suggestion of NeonFx and was able to clear my computer of a trojan.
Anyways, I am trying to print labels with addresses and there is an error. When I choose the right file, it opens a window titled “File Conversion” and it says “Select the encoding that makes your document readable” and then it gives options three options
1. Windows (Default)
2. MS-Dos
3. Other encoding
None of these are readable. What could I be doing wrong? :) What is wierd is I have created labels on this computer before.

Thank you,
Happy New Year! :)

Howdy enkhzaya. :)

Just so I get an idea of the situation, what version of Office are you currently running? Is this error appearing when you want to print or when you want to access the addresses?

I am using Office 2003, and it happens when I browse and choose the excel file. Once I select the right excel file and it tries to open it in Word mail merge.

Thanks! :)

You are very welcome. :)

Before we start troubleshooting, could you please go to this article and make sure all your settings are correctly set for the mail merge:

If everything is set up correctly then we will go from there. :)

Figured it out! I was trying to select the excel file on the wrong step of merge, I couldn't figure out why it was doing it, since I did this mail merge every year! Dumb me! Thanks for the guide link.
