Welcome atomic_pope to Geeks to Go!

You have Spybot S&D's Teatimer running which is good, but we need you to disable it for the remainder of the fix as it will interfere with the registry changes being made.
Open Spybot S&D in advanced mode, click Tools > Resident, and remove the check from "Resident Tea-Timer". Reboot after unchecking the entry.

***

Also disable SpywareGuard, as it will get in the way of fixing.

Right click the running icon of Spywareguard, it will open the program.
Then go to Menu, file, exit.
Then confirm the program is closed.
Reverse the process when you’ve carried out the advise.

***

Download CleanUp!.
If that doesn’t work, use this link.
Don't run the program, we'll do that later.

***

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit. *In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
Save it to your desktop. Don't use it yet.

***

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

***

Go to Start->Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) then hit Ok
Scroll down and find the service called:
hkatyae
When you find it, double-click on it. In the next window that opens, click the Stop button, then click on properties and under the General Tab, change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok and close any open windows.

***

Open HijackThis.
Go to config - misc tools
Click the 'Delete an NT Sevice' button.
Paste in
hkatyae
and click OK.
Press ‘back’
Than press ‘scan’

***

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {2E6486BC-DB27-4188-8340-0BC37B0197DD} - C:\WINNT\system32\tqmpf.dll

O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {6484D732-3B65-48CD-BE7E-7B510C3A1072} - C:\WINNT\system32\jwsxe.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mehh] C:\WINNT\system32\mehh.exe

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.neededware.com

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

***

Find and doubleclick the file cleanup.

Go to option
Select ‘custom’
Put a check to:* Cookies
* Prefetch
* Temp
* All users.
Press 'cleanup!'

Once it's done, press Close.
Once it's done, log off and log on again. This will remove files that were in use during the scan.

***

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

***

double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
Put a mark next to "Delete on Reboot". Copy and paste each file into the file name box, then click the red button with the X after each.
C:\WINNT\system32\mehh.exe
C:\WINNT\system32\hkatyae.exe
It will ask you if you want to reboot each time you click it, answer NO until after you've pasted the last file name, at which time you should answer Yes.

***

Open HijackThis
Go to ‘config’
Go to ‘misc tools’
Press the button ‘open uninstall manager’
Press the button 'save list'. It will open a Notepad file. Place the content of that file here in your answer please.

Also post a fresh scanlog using HijackThis and the scanlog from Ewido.

As there has been no reply from the original poster for more than two weeks this topic is now closed.
