Dead Motherboard

I need a new motherboard for a sony vaio PCG-FX705. Sony will not sell a motherboard to the repair guy that I have to do the work. Does anyone know of where I can get one or even a used one? Thanks

You should be able to order one direct from Sony - if you go to their website & enter the serial number of the laptop you should then have access to the support pages.

I am assuming this is a laptop not a vaio desktop?
If so and you can't get one from Sony, then your only other option would be to try & find one for sale that has a damaged screen or something. Your best bet for that is probably ebay.
