Hello Adam,

Are you able to burn CDs on that seperate Laptop?

You also said:

Hi, i've tried both safe mode and last known good configuration and neither gets me in

Could you be more specific on "Gets me in"?
Do you get errors? Or just black screens?

Regards,
Olrik

Hi Olrik,

The laptop i am using is able to burn cd's.

The laptop boots up, goes past the welcome page but then the desktop wont load or task bar it just stays as a blank screen with the toshiba background.

Hello Adam,

If you can get the Task Manager up in Safe Mode, Report back to Rorschach112 and tell him that you can access programs through the Task Manager.
I know Rorschach112 pretty well and he knows his stuff, You'll be patched up in no time :)

Olrik
