I had the Diskeeper product on my machine, but then uninstalled it. However, in doing a disk check, I see something of it has been left behind. It is located at Windows/Installer/Diskeeper2010.msi. So, first I looked for the Installer. I cannot find it.(I use Vista Premium) So I then proceeded to do an "everywhere" search, including all files, folders, and hidden folders. Nothing came up. So I am confused. The utility says it is there, yet I cannot find it on my computer. When I delete a piece of software I would prefer that none of it remain behind. Could it be in the registry? Maybe that's why it is not showing up on the search. I haven't done a search in the registry yet. So I have several questions: 1) How do I access the Windows/Installer folder? 2) How do I delete this particular 'left behind' file from this software? If I need to go into the registry, please provide step by step instructions, as I don't want to naturally mess up anything in there. Thanks a lot.

I would recommend downloading Revo Uninstaller and use it to uninstall your programs, as it will search for registry entries and folders/files for you.

Firstly download Revo Uninstaller to your desktop:

Next:

1. Double click on the Installer
2. Accept the License Agreement
3. Follow the prompts
4. Reboot once it has completed

Now:

1. Go to Start
2. Click All Programs
3. Select Revo Uninstaller
4. Once it has finished loading select Diskeeper
5. Click Uninstall
6. Once the uninstallation has been completed, reboot your computer

If that doesn't find anything, let me know.
