Tried some things like stop update in services etc but nothing seems t work.
My cd reader cannot read anymore so repair from cd windows is nt an option
Is there a fix tool available?

Sounds like you have a few problems? Let's fix your Windows update first.
Open up Notepad, and copy this code:

net stop bits 
net stop wuauserv 
regsvr32 /u wuaueng.dll /s
del /f /s /q %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\*.*
del /f /s /q %windir%\windowsupdate.log
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll /s
net start bits
net start wuauserv
wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow

Now, with that code in Notepad, click 'File' > 'Save As'. Under 'File Type' click the menu and choose 'All Files'. Now, name this file something appropriate [something like "FixAU.bat"], and at the end, type ".bat" (without quotes).

Run that file. That will fix your Automatic Updates.
If that doesn't work, try this too (create another file by the same process I just outlined):

net stop bits 
net stop wuauserv 
%windir%\system32\regsvr32.exe /s %windir%\system32\atl.dll

Hi, i tried to run both scripts but it says;
Systemfault 2; cannot find the wanted file

Earlier tried to run the advise al above, but didn't work either.
I dont know why cd desnt read well. Must be a bad laser i guess. Last reading was a new intallation of windows but that wasnt an easy one, although it bacame complete after some retry
I,ve had a virus on it which have damaged some things.
EG, cant install my printer again, which is gone, cause he cannot find the spooler and helpfunction says continue that some active x is blocked because of securitysettings. Bu tput the settings down it doesn t work either

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
