ATTN MODS! I am new to the forum and I am seeking immediate help from anyone familiar with this virus.
This happened several weeks ago to my daughter's computer and she desperately needs it. An anti virus program was loaded on the machine after the infection and a day later the broadband internet connection was lost. I have tried numerous times to get a connection, but it will not find one. Also, my browser's homepage has been changed to" about:blank" and will not change. After I try to attempt to click "try again" to find the connection instead of "work offline", it shows the address in the browser as being "res://fddmn.dll/http_404.htm". I have no idea what to do and have attempted to follow directions at the top of this forum.
Here is the HijackThis log for reference.
