I have an old dell that started acting weired today. When i push the button to open the drive the green light starts blinking, I can hear a little click and something spinning inside. I get the same thing when i got to my computer and say eject. After about 3 cycles of click and spin the light stops and no more noise is heard. However, when I open the drive with a paper clip and put a CD inside i can read it and copy off it. The crazy part is that when i push the open button the drive opens like normal :) . In addition a new CD drive popped up on My Computer screen. Two days a go i was in a hurry so i tured on the computer took out he CD and then pulled the plug and pushed in the drive with the computer off. If any body has any ideas of what i can do to fix this i would really appreciate it :) .
